Whether for a few hours or a few days, 24x7 care and engaging activities are available for children up to 6-years-old from trained child care professionals and volunteers. When: The grand opening is 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, with scheduled remarks at 4:30 p.m. Tours will be available. Where: 53 Bayberry Court, Eatontown, 07724 Who: Pinwheel co-founders Lynn Hawkins and Quadhera Simmons, a mother-daughter team, started the nonprofit in 2016, fulfilling a shared dream to create a safety net for vulnerable families facing adversity, preventing child abuse and neglect. Hawkins has a long history of nonprofit experience and adopted Simmons from a group home when she was just an infant.
