LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oct. 17, 2023 - PRLog -- A local author's new book (available October 20, 2023) is sure to appeal to every child or adult who grew up loving horses.

Finally…HORSES! is the third book published by author Janet Wolanin Alexander about horses! As a young girl, Ms. Alexander dreamed of having her own horse––a  dream she pursued determinedly through-out her life. She is sharing her story to encourage young readers to discover and chase their dreams with passion and purpose.  She considers this book a child's version of her memoir, At Home on a Horse in the Woods, published in 2019.

Braiding Horsehair Bracelets: Your Beginner's Guide, (published 2021), her second book is the book she'd wished was available when she discovered braided horsehair jewelry in 2005. While riding her horse in the Clark State Forest, a companion showed her the bracelet she had purchased on vacation. Then and there Janet vowed to learn how to braid a bracelet from Highlander's tail hair. Ms. Alexander received an Individual Artist's Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to study under an artist in Canada, and won a 2021 EQUUS Winnie Award.

Her first book, At Home on a Horse in the Woods: A Journey into Living Your Ultimate Dream (published 2019), is a memoir about the importance of taking your dreams seriously, and won an EQUUS Winnie Award in 2020.

Finally...HORSES! is sure to appeal to every horse-lover and person who dreamed of having a horse. The illustrations and cover were designed by the wonderful artist, Lesley
A.J. Baumann of Alizarin Chestnut Equine Art and Illustration. The author and artist bring this heartfelt book to life with color blooming as the story progresses and Ms. Alexander begins living her life-long dream with three unforgettable horses: Geronimo, Dancer's Streak, and Highlander.

Alexander's books are available worldwide wherever books are sold, as well as from online retailers such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Google Books. Finally…HORSES! is available in eBook, paperback, and hardcover; Braiding Horsehair is available in eBook, paperback, and hardcover; At Home on a Horse in the Woods is available in audiobook, eBook, paperback, and hardcover.
