Gala at the GRAMMY Museum: Community Strength Shines at PACE's Sounds of Solidarity Soirée

LOS ANGELES - Oct. 19, 2023 - PRLog -- The Rooftop Terrace at the GRAMMY Museum was transformed into a celebration of unity and community at Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE)'s 47^th annual gala, Sounds of Solidarity. The event, held on October 5^th, 2023, not only embodied the spirit of solidarity but served as an opportunity to raise support and awareness for PACE's community development work within the AAPI and ethnic minority communities of Los Angeles.

For the last 47 years, PACE's comprehensive approach to community development has allowed us to create pathways to economic self-sufficiency for 1.4 million low-income individuals through provision of affordable housing, small business development, early childhood education, workforce development, and energy and environmental services. The theme Sounds of Solidarity not only showcases the strength that PACE derives from working together as a cohesive force to serve the diverse needs of our community, but emphasizes the power of unity through government, private, and community partners gathering as one.

The event's attendees were treated to an exciting program featuring dinner and refreshments, distinguished speeches, live musical acts, and inspiring spoken word poetry performances, all set against the Los Angeles skyline and the stunning backdrop of the GRAMMY Museum's Rooftop Terrace.

The program began with welcome remarks from Assemblymember Mike Fong, who highlighted PACE's work within the Stop the Hate program and our efforts in combatting the rise of hate against AAPI and marginalized communities throughout Los Angeles.

One highlight of the evening was honoring Congresswoman Judy Chu with the Harmony Award for her role in fighting for equality and social justice policies throughout her dedicated career. PACE also celebrated its Multi-Platinum sponsor, U.S. Bank, with the distinguished Solidarity Award for their support in community development. Through this event, PACE also recognized JP Morgan Chase & Co and Bolton & Company for their generous sponsorship and thanked all our supporters for their steadfast commitment to driving positive change in the community.
