Follow on Google News | After 3,300 Miles, Ultra Runner nears finish of Historic 4th Run Across AmericaBy: Run For Revival 12 States completed. Florida remains. 3,300 miles completed. Just over 300 miles remain. After 147 days, Noah Coughlan has reached the Gainesville, Florida area after running 3,300 miles across America from the Pacific Ocean at Blaine, Washington for his 4th and final transcontinental run across the United States. The 'Run For Revival' is a 3,600 mile run from Memorial Day to Veterans Day from Washington to Florida from Pacific to Atlantic to honor the American military veterans and active duty personnel serving today. If the physical effort alone was not impressive enough, Coughlan has also completed dozens of TV, radio, and newspaper interviews, met hundreds of Veterans including 5 World War II Vets, met with Mayors and City Councils, received dozens of police escorts, and received a Statement of Congressional Record from the United States Congress in September 2023 in Tennessee. He has been resolute and determined under extreme duress, injuries, weather systems, and even the death of his father on Day 74 while crossing Nebraska in August. Coughlan is running solo and pushing a jogging stroller with 80 pounds of gear and supplies while carrying an American Flag flown in April 2023 from Prince Sultan AFB in Saudi Arabia by the U.S. Air Force on a KC-10 Extender by the 908th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. He has combined the sport of ultra running with the craft of statesmanship as he stated, "Run For Revival is my way to bring Americans together by honoring the U.S. Military. Across the 42 States I have crossed on foot, you will find that we have much more in common than we do apart, and much of that is due to the American Veteran. We may have our culture wars or social issues like the generations before us, but the one thing that can unite us is our Freedom itself. I have seen communities enriched by Veterans and their families. They serve and sacrifice in a military capacity, and many times they return home and become police officers, firefighters, doctors, teachers, pilots, and more. They truly hold America together." Coughlan has completed 3 previous Runs across America in 2011, 2013, and 2015 while advocating for solutions for the 30 million Americans battling Rare Diseases. He has been honored by Congress and met U.S Governors. He also ran across Ireland in 2020. Upon completion of this 2023 Run For Revival, he will become just the 5th person to ever cross America on foot a total of 4 separate times. He will finish this 4th Run at the Atlantic Ocean in Fort Lauderdale on Veterans Day, November 11, 2023. For more information or to contact Noah, visit https://www.run4revival.org/ End
