SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - Oct. 23, 2023 - PRLog -- Captiva Cruises, a family owned and operated cruise excursion service, celebrates the return of its beloved flagship boat, Lady Chadwick, with its first public cruise since Hurricane Ian.

The Lady Chadwick was severely damaged during the hurricane and has been out of commission ever since. After significant repairs, the 65-foot boat is now resuming its regular services.

"We are thrilled to see Lady Chadwick back in the water," said Bob Rando, who co-owns Captiva Cruises with his wife Jenny Rando and partners Brad and Leslie Junghans. "As we know, the hurricane impacted our whole community and caused not only a lot of damage, but also a lot of hurt. We can't erase the past, but we hope we can provide our guests with some happy memories and positive experiences on our cruises."

A variety of cruise experiences can be enjoyed aboard the Lady Chadwick, which sails to Cabbage Key and Useppa Island, as well as out to sea for Dolphin/Wildlife cruises. Captiva Cruises also has three other boats – Santiva, Playtime and Adventure – that offer additional destinations and private charters. Travel times range from 1.5 hours to 5 hours.

Accessible only by boat, Cabbage Key is a small island nestled between Pine Island and the barrier island of Cayo Costa. The island offers an inn and restaurant, a short nature trail and climbable water tower with panoramic views of the island and Pine Island Sound.

Useppa Island features picturesque white cottages, pink pathways and lush tropical vegetation. The exclusive private island club can only be visited by members of the club, guests of a member of the club or as a passenger on Captiva Cruises.

Dolphin/wildlife cruises share a firsthand look at the beauty of Southwest Florida. Fun for all ages, the cruises often showcase wildlife including dolphins, white pelicans, ospreys, bald eagles and a variety of migratory birds.

All cruises are led by U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captains, guiding passengers in encountering Southwest Florida and providing educational insights on the region's unique ecosystems and native wildlife.
