SHEFFIELD, U.K. - Oct. 27, 2023 - PRLog -- As part of this dynamic initiative, Twinkl will also be partnering with Peters (https://peters.co.uk/) and YPO (https://www.ypo.co.uk/) who are further supporting educators by providing funding for essential school supplies and books to applicants throughout the year.

Empowering Schools and Communities

Twinkl Community Collection (https://www.twinkl.co.uk/communitycollection) supports schools and educational organisations, to kick-start exciting projects and help provide much needed resources to educators and educational organisations. Schools can apply for support from the Twinkl Community Collection pot, for whatever they like, gardening projects, sensory resources or even funding a school pet!  With each round, Twinkl aims to help as many other educators as possible with additional funds, items and resource support. Applications can be submitted throughout the year to tackle the real problems educators face every day. Community Collection is supported by Twinkl and ticket sales from the Twinkl Prize Draw (https://www.twinkl.co.uk/twinkl-essentials/product/10/mon...), where each month, a winner is chosen to receive a cash prize, to spend on whatever they would like.

How has the Community Collection helped schools so far?

Since its launch last September, Twinkl (https://www.twinkl.co.uk/about-us) has received over 3,000 applications to the Community Collection (https://www.twinkl.co.uk/communitycollection). In just over a year, over 1,200 educational settings have been offered support, providing much-needed resources such as food vouchers for Sheringham Woodfields School in Norfolk so they could provide breakfast to children coming to school without, a book bundle and Peter's story sacks to Everton Heath School to replace books damaged in a fire at their school that they couldn't otherwise afford, and much-needed classroom supplies like glue sticks and pens for Kirkburton CE (VA) First School, which they so desperately needed. On average Twinkl Community Collection supports 58 schools per round with funding, essential equipment, or access to Twinkl resources.

From new playground apparatus to ICT equipment, establishing new clubs to eco gardens, settings will be able to use their funding to suit their needs, whatever they may be, the Community Collection wants to help as many as possible.

Hannah Corrigan, Community Collection and Prize Draw Manager at Twinkl said, "We have had an incredible response so far from our Community Collection launch. Over the course of this year, we have had the opportunity to help so many schools and educational settings with the resources they needed. Twinkl was founded with the mission to be able to help those who teach, and that is exactly what this initiative is doing. We are excited to be able to continue the work we do and are eager to be able to support further this Autumn."
