Follow on Google News | Women's Board announces Cummer Museum partnership with First Coast Design ShowBy: Women's Board Wolfson Children's Hospital In collaboration with the Cummer Museum, the Children's Fashion Show honors the inspiration of fashion and self-expression with the theme, "Dress to Inspire with the Cummer Museum." The event on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m., will feature more than 30 models who are current or former Wolfson Children's Hospital patients. Dillard's, a longtime sponsor, will provide the clothing to light up the runway. A family reception will take place immediately following the Children's Fashion Show. Along with supporting the Children's Fashion Show, the Cummer Museum is stepping into the world of fashion with Sporting Fashion: Outdoor Girls 1800 to 1960, opening Saturday, March 2, 2024, through Sunday, May 19, 2024. The first exhibition to explore the evolution of women's sporting attire in Western fashion, Sporting Fashion will look at the extraordinary impact of new technologies and evolving social mores on women's clothing for sport over a 160-year period. This exhibition is organized by the American Federation of Arts and FIDM Museum at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Los Angeles. It includes 65 fully accessorized ensembles comprised of more than 480 historic objects selected from the exceptional collections of the FIDM Museum.
