Embrace a Revolutionary Journey with EcoGPX™ in Ilkley, Yorkshire!

This novel application is a gateway to revitalising our relationship with nature, art, heritage, and global culture. As a winner of the Innovate UK Creative Catalyst 2023 Award, EcoGPX™ combines technology with creativity to encourage exploration and ecological consciousness.

Positioned at the vanguard of environmental innovation, EcoGPX™ is more than an app; it's an immersive journey that marries creativity with ecological awareness. By engaging with hands-on practices, users can delve into the rich stories that shape our local and global ecological landscapes. The prototype, focusing on the enchanting landscapes of Ilkley, West Yorkshire, invites users to become co-creators in a symphony of text, images, sound art, videos, and more. Each participant weaves a thread in a tapestry of transformative practices and artworks, revolutionising how we interact with our green spaces.

In an exciting new development, Intercultural Roots is calling on artists, community leaders, historians, and eco-practitioners from West Yorkshire to collaborate in this groundbreaking project. An open call for contributions is currently underway for workshops taking place from 24th-28th November '23. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to curate media artifacts that foster personal and creative interventions in green and civic spaces.

Intercultural Roots warmly welcomes contributors from diverse minoritised ethnic groups to join this extraordinary environmental initiative. Selected collaborators will be rewarded with an honorarium and will have their expenses covered.

This initiative is not just a celebration of environmental and cultural narratives but also a call to action for communities and individuals to become active participants in the stewardship of our planet.
