Fischer Family Foundation now accepting grant submissions

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Nov. 6, 2023 - PRLog -- The Fischer Family Foundation, a foundation that supports underprivileged and low-income populations ages 8-25, is now accepting grant submissions.

The foundation will be providing project-specific grants, general operating support and capacity-building grants to local nonprofit organizations. Multi-year grants may also be considered for well-established organizations with a proven track record. The grants will range in funds between $5,000-$15,000, but larger grants may be awarded for exceptional projects.

The Fischer Family Foundation supports Southwest Florida youth through a variety of resources that support enriching lives, improving mental health and overall well-being. Some of these resources include education, summer camps, intensive overnight wellness and recovery retreats, wilderness programs and substance abuse treatment facilities.

The funding priorities will include substance abuse, mental health, harm reduction initiatives, prevention and education programs, camps and outdoor education programs.

To be eligible for a grant, applicants must meet the following guidelines:
  • Be a nonprofit organization exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and units of government are eligible
  • Serve populations aged 8 through 25 years old (flexibility on a case-by-case basis)
  • Have programs and/or services serving underserved populations
  • Have a demonstrated track record of effectiveness and financial stability
  • Have an emphasis on quality of experience over quantity
