Innovative Environmental Technologies, Inc. (IET) "Violated" by Tetra Tech, Inc., and Former Employee Antonios Karachalios

IET, through multiple correspondences with Tetra Tech, Inc. (TTEK) and its President of the Energy Engineering Division, Mr. Jonathan S. Weiss has attempted to address a serious and blatant theft of IET's IP. TTEK acknowledged that the former IET employee, Antonios Karachalios distributed IET IP across the TTEK organization with impunity. Protecting IP for small businesses has become much more difficult in the current environment of IP theft by countries, criminals and cartels.

PHILADELPHIA - Nov. 15, 2023 - PRLog -- The threat from within our country when it comes to proprietary information and sensitive information is widely thought to originate from foreign operatives.  These people, governments, and companies most certainly garnish the most media attention.  However, focus within our boarders, the threat to small businesses' intellectual property (IP), often, is from larger US Corporations not from China or India.  Case in point, is the theft of Innovative Environmental Technologies, Inc. https://iet-inc.net/ (IET) IP by Tetra Tech, Inc. (TTEK https://investor.tetratech.com/stock-information/stock-qu...).  Tetra Tech, with a market capitalization of over $8 billion epitomizes the "gorilla in the room", blatantly stealing IP with impunity from small businesses.

"Picasso had a saying — 'good artists copy; great artists steal' — and we have always been shameless about stealing great ideas."

The shared shamelessness of TTEK and Picasso exemplifies a general disregard for intellectual property.  In TTEK's case the shamelessness is overshadowed by their arrogance.  In TTEK's case, even when confronted with the irrefutable evidence that they induced Karachalios to violate his covenant with IET, they have refused to accecpt responsibility and make amends.  Both TTEK and IET exist in an industry where confidentiality is paramount.  The effects of breaches can be far reaching, impacting clients, government agencies and individuals alike.

Intellectual property (IP) theft is the unauthorized use, exploitation, or outright theft of creative works, ideas, trade secrets, and proprietary information otherwise protected under intellectual property laws.  Intellectual Property Crime (IPC) has serious and far-reaching implications for the economy, the environment, and the health and safety of our customers. IPC inflicts significant damage to governments and businesses, as revenue is lost when counterfeit and pirated products are produced, marketed, and implemented.

"It's unfortunate that Tetra Tech has chosen to disregard and devalue intellectual property in such a blatant way!  We have attempted to resolve the issue through various proposed agreements," says Michael Scalzi, President of Innovative Environmental Technologies, Inc.  "The theft of know-how, developed by small businesses, by large corporations, makes those companies no better than a hacker sitting somewhere in China, India or Nigeria!
