Consumer Directed Choices Honors Home Care Workers for Their Commitment and Dedication

ALBANY, N.Y. - Nov. 8, 2023 - PRLog -- WHAT:  Consumer Directed Choices (CDChoices) is honoring those who go above and beyond to help seniors and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence. CDChoices was founded by the late Constance Laymon on the principle that individuals with disabilities should be empowered to direct their own home care.

Josh Woodward, a former Albany Airport firefighter who defied the odds and survived sepsis after being given a 5 percent chance of living, will deliver the keynote address at the organization's 2023 Constance Laymon Personal Assistant Recognition Award Ceremony.

Woodward will speak about his experience living as an amputee following his health ordeal, and the critical role that the dedication of personal assistants plays in the lives of those who depend upon them.

21 personal assistants from throughout the Capital Region will be honored for their service and commitment to serving others.
