Helping Veterans & First Responders Manage Mental Health Struggles

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nov. 10, 2023 - PRLog -- Coinciding with Veterans Day, The Battle Within (TBW), a local nonprofit that provides mental health services to first responders and veterans, was recently presented with a $20,000 contribution from AT&T to support its Frontline Therapy Network program. The contribution will provide resources for therapeutic sessions for clients affected by PTSD and trauma stemming from their service – empowering these individuals to embark on or sustain their path toward mental health well-being.

"On behalf of the first responders, veterans, and other frontline personnel that are struggling with mental health issues, we are grateful and appreciative of AT&T's generous donation," stated Justin Hoover, Executive Director of The Battle Within. "Their corporate support and commitment to improving the lives of these individuals, while furthering The Battle Within mission, will make a meaningful difference in the health journey of many. AT&T presented the contribution to The Battle Within leadership team following a recent graduation ceremony of its Revenant Journey program on November 10, in which ten participants successfully completed a five-day intensive group therapy program.

U.S. Army Veteran and Kansas State Rep. Chris Croft added, "Our veterans and first responders have endured and been impact by their service-related experiences in every part of their lives. TBW serves veterans, first responders, and frontline medical personnel who suffer from PTSD and other traumas related to their service.
