CourMed Partners with NorthStar Care to Launch Virtual & Confidential Alcohol Substance Abuse Pilot

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - Dec. 7, 2023 - PRLog -- CourMed, a leading concierge health services company, has announced a strategic partnership with NorthStar Care to launch a pilot program for virtual and confidential alcohol substance abuse treatment. This innovative initiative aims to address the significant impact of substance abuse on health & wellness. Recent statistics indicate that more than 46 million Americans are struggling with alcohol and drug use, with affluent individuals being impacted at higher rates.

The 12-month program, powered by NorthStar Care, is designed to provide virtual treatment and support for individuals grappling with alcohol substance abuse. One of the key features of the program is its confidentiality – CourMed clients are not required to reveal their identity, allowing them to seek treatment without fear of judgment or stigma. Additionally, the program is designed to be accessible to clients without requiring them to leave their families for a typical 30-day treatment facility.The program includes a full year of medication and nutrient therapy, anonymous VR group support, and continuous engagement with a physician-led, six-member care team. It is designed to be six times more effective than traditional rehab, with an 80% reduction in BAC in the first month of treatment. The program is not built on the traditional 12 steps and provides a year of support with no "Day 31." Patients receive a toolkit, including a VR headset and three months of nutrient therapy, overnight and meet their six-person care team, which includes a physician, an advanced practice clinician, a nurse, a navigator, and two peer guides. This exclusive and confidential program is available to CourMed members for a cost of $50,000 per client.
