Award Recipients announced for CCIA's 2023 Cleantech Awards Celebration

DENVER - Dec. 14, 2023 - PRLog -- The Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) hosted their 14th Annual Colorado Cleantech Awards Celebration on December 12, 2023 at the Museum of Nature and Science in Denver, Colorado. The event brought together the cleantech community to honor the creativity, innovation and dedication to a cleaner energy future put forth by Colorado's entrepreneurs, educators, innovators, volunteers and policymakers. The nominated companies were recognized for their resilience and dedication to creating a cleaner world.

Executive Director Laura Hickernell and CCIA's Board Chair, Ned Harvey,  opened the program by welcoming guests, nominees and program sponsors including: the National Renewable Energy Laboratory,  Galway Sustainable Capital, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Cooley LLP, Xcel Energy, Wells Fargo's IN2 Innovation Incubator, Colorado School of Mines, Alpine Bank, CU Research & Innovation Office, Eberspächer VAIREX, and Sunflower Bank.

Outstanding cleantech companies and individuals recognized for the 2023 Colorado Cleantech Awards were as follows:

Emerging Cleantech Company:  Atargis Energy

Breakout Cleantech Company: AtmosZero

High Impact Cleantech Company: Prometheus Materials

High Impact Global Cleantech Company: AMP Robotics

Bill Reinert Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion Award: River Mizell, AtmosFinancial

Cleantech Champion: Mary Austin, NREL Foundation

Cleantech Community Builders: Lu Córdova & Wendy Lea

Policymaker of the Year: State Representative Shannon Bird

Key themes of the night's program were the collaborative nature of the Colorado Cleantech ecosystem and the role of public policy in supporting clean technologies. Additionally, CCIA made an exciting first public announcement detailing CCIA's new role in leading the Colorado Cleantech Consortium. Colorado's cleantech companies are continually increasing their footprint into new product areas and global markets.
