Albany Patroons Announce 2024 Season Schedule

ALBANY, N.Y. - Dec. 18, 2023 - PRLog -- The Albany Patroons have unfinished business after winning the eastern division and conference but falling short in the regional contest against St. Louis during The Basketball League's (TBL) 2023 season.

After a successful 2023 season overall record of 25-6, Phoenix Sports Management returns as team market operators with Derrick Rowland leading the team as Head Coach. Assistant coach Mike Shewmaker is also returning for 2024.

Patroons training camp begins February 19th in Albany, and Rowland says to expect to see many familiar faces on the court. "I expect more than half of the available slots will be filled by guys returning from last year, which will give us the upper hand as we open the season." Rowland continues, "We've also signed a couple major players we're excited about. This roster has the potential to be the most powerful team I've ever coached."

The 2024 season begins with a back-to-back home game opening weekend March 1st & 2nd. All home games are played at the historic Washington Avenue Armory.

The Patroons have also created a non-profit organization - Capital City Hoops Foundation. The newly formed 501c3 will align with the basketball team's ongoing efforts surrounding youth development, community engagement, and educational opportunities by helping individuals reach their full potential through the life lessons of  basketball.
