PITTSBURGH - Jan. 8, 2024 - PRLog -- BrightTree Studios, an interactive technology design firm, has recently celebrated the grand opening of Johns Hopkins University's brand-new Bloomberg Center. Located halfway between the Capitol and the White House, the Bloomberg Center offers state-of-the-art research, creation, and collaboration space to graduate students enrolled in the School of Advanced International Studies, the Carey School of Business, School of Nursing, the School of Government and Policy, and the Kriger School of Arts and Sciences.

Alongside first-in-class learning spaces, the 10-story facility features several live broadcast studios, several recording studios for both podcasting and recording lectures, and several executive-style boardrooms for further collaboration between students and industry professionals. Scholars will also benefit from several programming initiatives through Johns Hopkins University, including the Bloomberg Public Innovation Fellowship, the Summer Scholars program, and the Bloomberg Cities Network Hub.

BrightTree Studios was involved with the technology infrastructure design from the project's inception, providing audiovisual, telecommunications, and security consulting for the 470,000GSF facility. When discussing motivation behind the project, BrightTree Studios President and co-owner Bill McIntosh stated "You never know how our technology is going to affect the next very important people for the future of our country. If through our designs we can help get them to the point where they're utilizing something that's helping them in their work, that's a win."

The grand opening of the Bloomberg Center marks a significant milestone in the University's Washington D.C. presence. In addition to solidifying JHU's place as one of the top research universities across the globe, University President Ron Daniels says, the Bloomberg Center "will amplify our university's proven capacity to bring the world's greatest research and data-driven approaches to government innovation and policy."
