Love is Love Gala Returns to Chester County

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. - Jan. 6, 2024 - PRLog -- The LGBT Equality Alliance of Chester County is proud to announce this year's Love is Love Gala on February 2, 2024, at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern, PA. Returning this year for the first time since the pandemic, the Love is Love Gala is our most important fundraising event each year as it helps us continue bringing meaningful programming and vital resources to members of the LGBTQ+ community in Chester County.

This year's theme is "A Pop of Color," bringing a bit of rainbow to this black-tie event. Attendees are encouraged to wear a colorful accessory to honor the most recognizable symbol of the LGBTQIA+ community, the rainbow flag. The night will feature dancing, live entertainment, cocktails, a silent auction, dinner, and a special program honoring the Chester County leaders fighting for equality. The Gala headliner will be Ophelia Bawdy & Roxanne Rohls and, our community award will be presented to Free Mom Hugs.

"There have been too few fabulous events where people get dressed to the nines and go out for dinner and dancing," says Mary Benton, one of the Alliance's board members and manager of its Business Network. "The gala is a chance to get together with us to celebrate our accomplishments and show our support for the mission of the Alliance in grand style."

This year's sponsors are State Farm Insurance & Phenom.

"The support we get from the different businesses, organizations and allies throughout the year is incredible," said Carrie Stare, the Alliance's board president. "We had a successful year in terms of new programs, partnerships and events. The money we raise at the Gala will help us keep those going in 2024 and expand to include more of the services and safe spaces our community needs, especially in light of the broad and targeted hate aimed at us."

Tickets are $225 for a single ticket, $375 per couple, and $1,825 to reserve a 10-seat table.
