Easy public-access forms to enrich and keep the database up-to-date. 4. 24/7 access as an anonymous user without having to log in. 5. No tracking of browsing history or heat map monitoring. 6. QR codes for a mobile-first experience. Ansari Shabnam Ateeq, President, Healthcare Simulation Middle East, said, "The public database builds upon a legacy of non-profit service to the regional and global community of healthcare simulation professionals. Being the world's first and only public database in healthcare simulation is not a moment. However, you'd think, why has it not been done already? With little to no funding for the project, a small team has built a community resource traditionally expected to be monetized or utilized as a lead magnet. As a conscious decision, the vendor database has no shortcodes or trackers to monitor your usage pattern or purchase intent. The idea is to let sim centers worldwide find vendors in a safe space. And make vendors discoverable in the Middle East, many of whom may not have regional distributors pitching for them. Program directors and sim center managers can use the competency instruments, standards, and podcast database items to onboard volunteers and staff. They can access the vendor and consultant database to build budgets and make informed decisions. Furthermore, the database helps novice educators, center coordinators, and technicians get a 360-degree view of the healthcare simulation landscape and hit the ground running. Community participation is vital. As a simulationist, you can enrich data and transform the public database into a community achievement." The launch marks the first phase of the public database as a viewable resource. Subsequent phases will incorporate export and download of .csv files for logged-in members.
