A local artist has created the very first interactive bobblehead painting in the world. One part fan art, one part still life, and one part interactive painting, "Bobblehead Dwight" is currently on view at Gallery at Hood Street. Henry County artist Steph Calvert is a fan of all things ridiculous, and got the idea for her latest piece of art when she saw a variety of sizes of wood panels for sale at her local art supply store. "I already had still lifes on the brain, and had purchased a Dwight Schrute bobblehead to work with," Steph says. "When I saw the smaller wood panel right next to the bigger one, everything just clicked and I wanted to see if I could make this still lifeā¦ less still." After repeated trips to her local hardware store, Steph Calvert was able to devise just the right spring contraption to make her bobblehead painting move in an authentic way. But don't expect her to share her secret! "Tinkering on things like this is part of the fun," she says. Bobblehead Dwight is an icon seen in Season 2, Episode 6 of the US version of The Office. "Valentine's Day" sees Angela Martin from accounting(played by Angela Kinsey) secretly gift to the Regional Manager Dwight Schrute (played by Rainn Wilson) a custom bobblehead doll made to look just like him. "Bobblehead Dwight" is currently on view at Gallery at Hood Street, at 136 Hood Street McDonough, Georgia. For more information, visit https://stephcalvertart.com/ #ENDS End
