National Dental Association Celebrates a New Chapter of Leadership with the Inauguration of its 100th President, Dr. Nicole Cheek, celebrated a landmark event at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, marking the beginning of an innovative chapter in NDA's history.  Dr. Cheek's theme for 2024 is "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants. Launching into a Future Beyond Imagination".

The Gala dazzled attendees with a magnificent three-story Christmas tree and a dynamic color scheme transitioning from cool blues to warm, vibrant reds, symbolizing fortune and change. The Gala showcased the NDA's forward-thinking ethos by embracing a modern, sneaker-themed event. Esteemed guests mirrored this innovative spirit in their attire, including prominent members from the Student National Dental Association (SNDA) and Howard University College of Dentistry (HUCD).

Dr. Cheek was the center of honor, receiving notable accolades and a surprise video tribute celebrating her extensive community outreach. A highlight of the evening was Dr. Cheek's daughter, Harlem, joining her on stage, emphasizing the NDA's focus on family and future generations.
