By: SGS Announced by the World Trade Organization (WTO) on January 18, 2024, the draft regulation and its annex contain several important changes, including: - Introducing 27 new entries, including perboric acid and sodium peroxometaborate - Replacing 16 existing entries, including trimethyl borate, sulfur and formaldehyde - Deleting one entry for a specified type of granulated copper It is expected the draft regulation will be adopted in Q2 of 2024, published in the Official Journal of the EU (OJEU) around two months later, and will come into force a further 20 days later. It will then become applicable 18 months after the date of entry into force (circa late 2025).
