Women's Magazine Celebrates 20 Years!

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Feb. 9, 2024 - PRLog -- Voice Magazine for Women, the beloved Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia women's magazine, is celebrating two decades of serving the region this February! The magazine is parented by Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, a woman-owned independent publisher proudly serving writers and readers throughout the region.

Business owner, Janie Jessee, discusses the birth of the company in this month's Voice Magazine for Women anniversary issue. Jessee, who has a background in banking and sales, owned a consignment shop in 2003 when she was introduced to the idea of starting a women's magazine in the Tri-Cities area. In December of that year, Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc. was formed and Jessee began work on a plan to create Voice Magazine for Women, with the first issue released in February of 2004.

Since its debut, Voice Magazine has enjoyed widespread success with support from local businesses and contributions from writers both in the area and throughout the country. Of the past twenty years Jessee says, "I have a lot of favorite memories, but it is when someone takes the time to call the office just to share how much they love the magazine that will never be forgotten."

Released monthly, Voice Magazine for Women is available both in print and online, giving advertisers double exposure. In each issue, readers can find features of local businesses, articles from contributing writers, seasonal recipes, new and featured book releases, and more. Readers can follow the magazine and its parent company, Jan-Carol Publishing, on Facebook and Instagram. To celebrate the twenty-year anniversary, the company is hosting a giveaway every day across its social media pages for the entire month of February!
