SINGAPORE - Feb. 26, 2024 - PRLog -- Diverse networks drive the discovery and advancement of differentiated technologies for optical interconnection. FIBERSTAMP recently launched two parallel optical modules, 200G QSFP DD XPSM8 and 400G QSFP DD XPSM8 based on 200G/400G QSFP DD PSM8.

200G QSFP DD XPSM8 – 8X25G NRZ
  • It is designed with QSFP-DD package, providing 8 parallel 25G high-speed channels.
  • The Optical interface provides two options MPO16/APC or MPO24/APC.
  • It is upgraded from the previous MINI-TOSA to COB optical engine technology with higher integration and better signal integrity to significantly improve the performance.
  • The Tx transmission optical power could be >-0.5dbm, and the RX sensitivity could be -11 DBM@1E-12 BER at 25.78125Gb/s.
  • It is capable of optical fiber transmission 20km, and the power consumption is <6.5W.
400G QSFP DD XPSM8 – 8X50G PAM4
  • Based on a unique parallel optical technology.
  • Designed with a single PCB inside of the module to reduce the process difficulty of the attached board by simple process production.
  • Easy to be proceeded into mass production, including reliable technology and thermal design under control.
  • Good performance and lower power consumption, which is the industry leading level.
  • The product adopts 8-channel parallel COB optical engine, uncooled 50G PAM4 EML laser and MPO16/APC as the optical interface.
  • Under three temperature conditions, TX TDECQ is <2.0dB, RX sensitivity meets -11dbm@2.4E-4 at 50G PAM4.
  • It is capable of optical fiber transmission 20km, and the power consumption of the product is <11W.
Application Instruction

The advantage of the 8-lane parallel optical module is that each lane data is independent communication, which is suitable for high-frequency trading computing, AI parallel computing, distributed network of 5G Front-haul base station, Broadcast Television optical networks and various scenarios requiring multi-channel network data monitoring. It has gradually become a mainstream optical module for short and medium distance network applications.

  • Support branch lines to 2x 100G QSFP28 PSM4
  • Support branch lines to 8x 25G SFP28 LR
  • Support branch lines downshifted to 8x10G network
400G QSFP DD PSM8 Application
  • Support branch lines to 2x 200G QSFP DD PSM4
  • Support branch lines to 8x SFP56 LR
  • The network could be upgraded from NRZ to PAM4 network by such product.
