NAPLES, Fla. - March 7, 2024 - PRLog -- A retired health care executive who served in active duty in Vietnam is the newest board member at Warrior Homes of Collier, a Naples-based nonprofit.

Thomas Buckley, a certified public accountant and certified financial planner, spent 15 years as executive director of Naples Day Surgery. A Pennsylvania native, he previously managed hospital-based medical practices throughout the Southeast and served as CEO of a multi-physician specialty group.

In Naples, Buckley helps lead a group of ex-military members who mentor younger peers navigating through Collier County's Veterans' Treatment Court. He earned a bachelor's degree from Penn State University and master's degree from the University of Central Florida, both in business administration.

"Tom is both a seasoned business executive and a patriotic veteran dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those who served," said Dale Mullin, founder and president of Warrior Homes of Collier. "We welcome his informed perspective as we work to eliminate veteran homelessness in our community."

The nonprofit operates four residences for local veterans: Alpha House, a short-term, transitional home for those in recovery from substance abuse; Bravo and Charlie Houses, which serve seniors on fixed incomes; and Delta House, a supportive housing complex with 10 apartments for up to 20 veterans, both men and women.

Warrior Homes of Collier connects its residents with support services, such as mental health counseling and peer support through the David Lawrence Centers, as well as educational opportunities and scholarships.
