Overwhelmed with Gratitude: Local Woman Honoured by Umoja Unity Awards

CALGARY, Alberta - March 14, 2024 - PRLog -- I am still overwhelmed with gratitude to learn that I have been selected as one of the recipients of the prestigious Nom De Plume Umoja Unity Awards. Being recognized alongside such a remarkable group of women who are actively reshaping the narrative on women's rights worldwide is truly humbling.

This award is a testament to the countless hours, the unwavering dedication, and the unwavering support system that has propelled me forward in my work. It wouldn't be possible without the incredible women who have inspired me, the allies who stand beside me, and the communities that empower me to keep pushing for change.

For years, I have poured my heart and soul into advocating for women's rights and creating a more equitable future.  Receiving this award from the Umoja Unity Awards, in partnership with such esteemed organizations as Afros in tha City, Don't Stop Rolling, and Skoden Magazine, fuels my passion even further. It serves as a powerful reminder that the work we do, individually and collectively, is making a difference.

I am deeply honoured by this recognition and excited to join forces with the other exceptional women being celebrated. Together, we can continue to break down barriers and pave the way for a more just and empowered future for all.
