Polling booth manufacturer ready for UK General Election - even if Rishi Sunak isn't!

WEST BROMWICH, U.K. - March 20, 2024 - PRLog -- Although British Premier Rishi Sunak appeared to rule out a May General Election this week, acrylic fabrication specialist Wrights Plastics has continued to step up production of their polling booths.

Even without a national poll, May 2nd sees local, Mayoral and Assembly elections across England and Wales so the West Bromwich-based team is aiming to meet increased demand.

The polling booth was launched in 2021, designed to increase voter confidence in the first post-Covid elections. Made from flat PVC sheets, the booth is easier to maintain and sanitise than traditional booths.

But the design brought other longer-term benefits for buyers. They cost less than traditional booths, are lighter & more easily manoeuvrable and the panels are easily assembled and disassembled and can be stored flat between elections. A sturdy shelf locks the two panels in place, and the shelf is offered at two heights to make the booth fully accessible for all voters.
