Big Hand Nick Set For World Premiere May 5th!

MILWAUKEE - April 25, 2024 - PRLog -- Award-winning short film Big Hand Nick: First Assignments will have its world premiere on Sunday, May 5th, at the historic Times Cinema in Milwaukee. Produced and directed by the Stamas Brothers and Co-produced by Kin Yee, the film depicts the thrilling tale of inmate Nick and his daring break for a chance at a new beginning.

Big Hand Nick is a thrilling short movie that has been twenty years in the making, with Paul Stamas first conceiving the idea at the start of the new millennium. This project is inspired by his love of films, especially those with an anti-hero forced into situations they didn't want to participate in. The 25-minute feature sees the lead character, Nick, detailing his incredible story of working on his first secret government project and the mistakes that led to his downfall, all while planning his escape from incarceration to pursue a fresh beginning.

Directed by Paul and his brother Matthew, Big Hand Nick: First Assignment has been selected at 18 Film Festivals, winning Best Action Short Film at the South Film and Arts Academy and Best First Time Filmmaker at the Filmmaker Life Awards.

Now, movie fans can see the award-winning film themselves when it premieres at the Times Cinema on Sunday, May 5th. The movie will be showcased twice over the evening, with the first show airing at 6 pm and the second at 7:30 pm, both followed by a talkback with the cast and crew.
