Family-friendly movies come to Marco Island

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - May 2, 2024 - PRLog -- Family Church is excited to announce the launch of a new event series, "Family Movie Nights." This family-friendly initiative aims to bring the community together through the magic of cinema, providing a safe and enjoyable space for all age groups.

Beginning on Friday, May 10, everyone is invited to gather at Family Church on Winterberry Drive for a night of wholesome entertainment — and admission is free.

Moviegoers can look forward to a cinematic experience complete with complementary beverages and light refreshments such as popcorn and movie candy. It's the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind and share the joy of cinema with friends and neighbors.

Casey Nowlin, preaching elder, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "We're excited to be able to host these movies as a family-friendly entertainment activity that the entire community can enjoy. It's about building connections and forming bonds within our community."

The selection of movies for "Family Movies Night" has been carefully curated to ensure they are inspiring and appropriate for all ages, providing a worry-free experience for parents and families. Family Church is committed to fostering an atmosphere filled with joy for all.

The inaugural event will feature, "Jesus Revolution," a 2023 drama based on the autobiographical book of the same name. In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith's languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to what TIME Magazine dubbed a JESUS REVOLUTION.
