LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS PBC to Host Three Upcoming Pre-Election Events

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - May 7, 2024 - PRLog -- (West Palm Beach, FL – May 6, 2024) The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County (LWVPBC) is inviting friends and supporters to three upcoming events for people interested in election year issues:

YES on Florida Amendment 4:

Reproductive Freedom

Hot Topic Luncheon with Guest Speaker Laura Goodhue, Vice President of Public Policy, Planned Parenthood of South, East & North Florida, and Executive Director of the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates

In the election this November, Floridians will vote on Amendment 4: Right to Abortion Initiative that would provide a constitutional right to abortion before fetal viability (estimated to be around 24 weeks) or when necessary to protect the patient's health, as determined by the patient's healthcare provider.

+ Notes:

** Doors open at 11:00 am. Lunch begins at 11:30 am, the program starts at noon.

** The lunch will be a plated pappardelle pasta with vegetables. Gluten-free and vegan requests will be accommodated.

This FREE Zoom meeting is for everyone interested in knowing more about pressing political issues and for anyone who would like to get more involved with the nonpartisan League of Women Voters. Issue Group Leaders from the League will talk about their current work in areas such as Voting Services, Election Protection, National Popular Vote, Gun Safety, Health Care, and Education—and how people can get actively involved in this critical election year.
