Follow on Google News | Victoria's Friends Celebrates 24 Years Bestowing Second ChancesBy: Atlanta Cause Marketing Experiencing the tragic loss of her younger sister to cancer and becoming a victim of teenage rape and trafficking for four years, Victoria Teague was rescued by a brave woman in the community, and through her unconditional love and family support, Victoria's life was radically transformed. After graduating from college with a bachelor's degree in psychology and working as a corporate sales consultant, Victoria discovered her life's calling to help women reach their full potential. During that time, she learned various tools and processes to help people think about their inner values, purpose, and vision. Every month, through its "Baskets of Love" outreach program, Victoria 's Friends and its volunteers deliver gift baskets to individuals working in the entertainment industry throughout metro Atlanta. The organization is always in need of donated items, such as socks, scarves, notes of encouragement, and anything that would be perceived as a gift. "Each year, we give 16-20 scholarships, to women with an entrepreneurial spirit," said Victoria Teague. One of this year's recipients, Patricia McNeil, wants to open a boutique with many of her own designs. Victoria's Friends is paying for her website and other branding materials. Victoria hopes to open a community center to bring all the women together. With its faith-based ministry, much of the organization's funding comes from its church partnerships, as well as individual donors and events it sponsors. https://www.victorias- End
