Almonte continually develops her aesthetic, breaking barriers in applying paint by manipulating her dried acrylic palette. She cuts and reapplies leftover paint onto new works, creating unique designs with a three-dimensional feel. Inspired by themes of rapture and positivity, Almonte generates palpable connections through her art. The Butterfly series, a tribute to her late father, symbolizes spiritual rebirth, transformation, hope, and life. Almonte says, "The butterfly series draws inspiration from Rivera's quote 'Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can.'" This realization that butterflies symbolize beauty and rebirth brought Almonte deep comfort. Her passion for sharing messages of hope and renewal through her colorful canvases shines with resilience, leaving her audience glimmering with joie de vivre.
