Pro Wrestling Veteran Teaches Firearms Safety for Film and TV Actors4-Time Hall of Famer Hosts Hands-On Training Events for the Entertainment Industry
By: HSM/PR "For many years we cringed watching actors incorrectly and dangerously handling firearms on camera," Rock Riddle announced. "We thought there had to be a 'proper firearms use' class somewhere for the industry – but there wasn't – so we created one ourselves." Rock Riddle is a multiple award-winning professional wrestling veteran. He is also an excellent firearms instructor. For the 'Firearms in Film and Television' sessions, Riddle employs the services of top firearms experts with exceptional law enforcement and firearms training experience. "Imagine this scenario," Riddle began. "5-year-old Sally and Timmy are having a playdate. Sally retrieves the key for the lockbox where the family handgun is kept. Timmy picks up the pistol and emulates what he saw an actor do on TV." Riddle looked sad as he made eye-contact with the crowd, "and little Sally dies on the way to the hospital." A hush fell over the crowd. Riddle focused on the actors. "If you were the one being emulated, would you bear any responsibility for little Sally's death? What about you, producers and directors?" he asked. "Now, let's change this scenario. You have invested in training. You demonstrate safe and proper handgun use on camera. Now little Sally can see her 6th birthday, and her 16th and her 60th. Thank you!" One of the actors said he liked the idea but was afraid of guns. "That's fine," Riddle responded. "This training is perfect for you. We have no actual weapons in the building. We use SIRT training guns that shoot only a low-powered laser. The lasers interact with computer simulations – almost like an arcade game – it's a lot of fun and it's also very serious training." "Whether you've never touched a handgun before or you're an expert, we guarantee you will be better at the end of the session! Then you'll be good enough to believably, safely, responsively, professionally, and even brilliantly handle a weapon in front of the camera." Rock Riddle hosts these events and is your lead instructor. "Actors need to know the immense physiological and emotional pressures of real-life deadly-force scenarios, Riddle adds. "Our instructors are willing to share their first-hand knowledge with you. Experiencing this training event produces brilliant performances on screen!" Actual Events and much more info HERE!
