ECHO set to host Family Fun Farm Tours this summer

N FT MYERS, Fla. - June 5, 2024 - PRLog -- The exciting and educational ECHO Family Fun Farm Tours are back for another year. The experiential walking tours will take place on Saturday, June 22 and Saturday, July 20 at the Regional Impact Center in North Fort Myers.

Tours will be led by certified docents who specialize in sharing ECHO's mission with children ages eight and up. Families will participate in activities to learn how natural resources are shared and what amount of the earth's surface is usable for food production.

While on the tour, docents will take a hands-on approach, giving families the opportunity to feed goats, eat plants, climb a mountain, interact with chickens, pick leaves, search for lizards and more.

Special discussion questions will help guests contextualize world poverty and food security in ways children will understand.

ECHO is a leading nonprofit global agriculture development organization known for its commitment to equipping and empowering hungry families with knowledge and the life-giving grace of God. The Regional Impact Center is at 17391 Durrance Road in North Fort Myers.

Tickets for the Family Fun Farm Tours are $30 per family (parents and accompanying children under 18 years of age), $12.50 per adult, $8.00 per student, and $6 per child ages 6-12. Children under six are free. Buy one get one tickets are available.

Space is limited. Registration is required. Email Rcarlucci@echonet.org or call 239-567-3316. In the event of inclement weather, a virtual tour will take place inside the visitor center.
