SHEFFIELD, U.K. - June 7, 2024 - PRLog -- I'm thrilled to see that we have a great selection of trending gift lines right now. Join us to get a head start on these trends. Last week, I shared about our time in Nepal, hunting for the next big products. After saying goodbye (for now) to Toni, we enjoyed a few days of R&R in Pokhara, where we had a wonderful time. If you missed it, you can catch up here. From Pokhara, we took a 30-minute Yeti Airlines flight back to Kathmandu, known as one of the world's most dangerous airlines—but we made it safely.

Now, we've just arrived in China. Coco and I caught a midnight flight from Kathmandu to Guangzhou on China Southern, an old plane with seats tighter than Ryanair. The flight was fully booked with excited Nepalese workers heading to jobs in China. Outside the airport in Kathmandu, we saw large crowds bidding farewell to relatives, with entire villages coming to see off their lucky family members, adorned with ceremonial scarves and red-dotted heads for good luck. We were given the very back seats next to the toilets, packed in like sardines with no space for our hand luggage because everyone brought too many carry-on bags. I tried to get us an upgrade to one of the four business class seats at the front, but it was too expensive. Ironically, Coco's hand luggage ended up in the business class section, but the air hostess wasn't amused when I pointed this out.

From Guangzhou, we had a tight connection for our flight to Yiwu. We were given an escort to speed us through the airport, allowing us to jump the immigration queue and security, and we made it just in time. Amazingly, our luggage also arrived, which was a relief since we had many presents for the grandchildren from Nepal.

As I write this, Tomas is on his way to China. Coco arranged a car to pick him up from Hangzhou airport and drive him to Yiwu, so we should see him later today. I spent most of the morning trying to bypass the firewalls here so I can work and conduct business. It's frustrating that connectivity is so controlled while they encourage trade. Despite the challenges, we prefer working with small family businesses here in Yiwu.

There's a lot to do, as we need to address some issues at the warehouse. Our landlord has gone bankrupt, and they want us to move out and forfeit six months' rent. It's a bit chaotic right now, but Coco is working hard to resolve the problem. I'll update you next week on what happens. On https://www.ancientwisdom.biz we have more than 5000 item giftware you can choose anything with affordable prices.

Take care and happy trading. David
