DALLAS - June 13, 2024 - PRLog -- The New Texas Symphony Orchestra (NTSO) is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as one of the three new recipients of the prestigious TACA 2024 Catalyst Grant. This significant award underscores NTSO's commitment to enhancing the cultural landscape of Dallas through innovative and inclusive musical performances.

The TACA Catalyst Grant provides unrestricted funding and supports high-performing arts organizations that contribute to Dallas's vibrant arts identity. This year, TACA invested $670,000 in 50 arts organizations, bringing its total investment in 2023-2024 to over $1 million.

"We are honored to receive the TACA 2024 Catalyst Grant," said Dr. Kathryn Brownlee, Founder and Artistic Director of the New Texas Symphony Orchestra. This grant will provide us with the financial flexibility to continue our mission of bringing high-quality orchestral music to Dallas communities, and these additional funds will also allow us to innovate and expand our programs and outreach, ensuring we can connect even more people with our music—which is free for ALL!"

The New Texas Symphony Orchestra, founded 20 years ago, is dedicated to providing performance opportunities for talented musicians and presenting accessible, engaging concerts for the community. With this grant, NTSO plans to develop new projects, enhance its outreach programs, and collaborate with other local musicians and arts organizations to create a richer cultural experience for all Dallas residents.

TACA's support comes at a crucial time as the arts community continues to recover and grow following the challenges posed by the pandemic. The Catalyst Grant will enable NTSO to sustain its operations and explore new artistic endeavors that resonate with diverse audiences.

"Receiving the Catalyst Grant from TACA is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our musicians, board, staff, and supporters," said Brownlee. "We are excited about the opportunities this funding will reveal and look forward to a dynamic year of music-making in our 21st season."

The New Texas Symphony Orchestra extends its heartfelt thanks to TACA and its donors for their generous support and belief in the transformative power of the arts.
