Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri to Host 3rd Annual Battle at the Ballpark Fundraiser

ST. LOUIS - June 14, 2024 - PRLog -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri (BBBSEMO) is excited to announce the return of its one-of-a-kind fundraiser, Battle at the Ballpark. The 3rd annual event will be hosted once again on the field at Busch Stadium from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15th, and BBBSEMO is looking for individuals and teams to sign up to fundraise and attend the event.

$750,000 toward Mentorship and Youth Development

"This is our flagship fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters and what we love about it is that it's unlike any other fundraising event you've ever been to," said Kristen Slaughter, BBBSEMO's President & CEO. "We hope to raise a total of $750,000 and we are asking the community for its support to continue providing mentorship for our local youth in need."

A Premier Busch Stadium Experience

The event's focus is centered around a boxing ring set up in the middle of the Busch Stadium field, where challengers will compete in a bracket-style tournament of rock, paper, scissors. Drinks will be available in the dugout bar and tasty ballpark treats on the warning track. Attendees can also get in some batting practice in the cages, throw a few pitches in the bullpen, or meet Cardinals Alumni players in the home locker room. The excitement unfolds on the field and main scoreboard as players go hand-to-hand to crown the Ultimate "Rock! Paper! Scissors!" Champion. Please note this is a 21 and up event for adults only.

There are three ways to get involved with Battle at the Ballpark:

1. Attend. Attend as an individual, join a team, or start your own. An advanced general admission ticket (before June 15) is just $75 per individual and includes all-you-can-eat and drink with access to the batting cages and bullpen on the field at Busch Stadium. Premium upgrades are available for an additional $75, which includes access to the bourbon bar and specialty food and drink area.
2. Fundraise. Sign up as an individual or team to help fundraise for the event.
3. Donate. If you can't attend or fundraise, donate to help BBBSEMO reach its fundraising goal of $750,000.
