Alzheimer's Association Wins Big At Hunters RunCountry Club Raises Over $85,000 In Support of South Florida Chapter
By: Hunters Run Country Club On April 7th, three events were held to raise funds: The Longest Day Neurologist Lecture, Taking Steps To Find A Cure, and a Casino Night Dinner and Silent Auction. Commenting on this year's events, Heidi Rubin, Hunters Run member and Fundraising Chair, said, "It is so gratifying to see how far we have come over the past five years since adopting the Alzheimer's Association as one of the Club's charities. We work hard each year to exceed what we raised in the previous years. And this year, donations exceeded our expectations. It just shows that when our community comes together, there is nothing we can't do to help those afflicted with this terrible condition." Mrs. Rubin notes that over 200 members participated in this year's charitable events, and many more who could not attend personally showed an outpouring of support through donations. " We cannot underscore the work of our events' committee, whose tireless efforts in planning and organizing made this possible. The support we received from the Hunters Run members was phenomenal, as evidenced by the outcome. We all recognize that we need to find a cure for this devastating disease because we are all, directly or indirectly, whether it be a friend, family member, or colleague, touched by it," added Mrs. Rubin. "The remarkable increase in the Club's 2024 contribution is a testament to our membership's caring hearts. It is wonderful to see the community come together, especially for causes that benefit the health and well-being of loved ones," comments Larry Savvides, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. A luxury country club community with 1,649 residences in 23 communities, Hunters Run is located on 990 landscaped acres in east Boynton Beach. End
