Living With Guilt & Shame? Jesus Offers This SHOCKING Secret to Freedom!

RALEIGH, N.C. - June 28, 2024 - PRLog -- In Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life set us free from the law of sin and death. Jesus condemned sin in our flesh by fulfilling all the Law on our behalf. In this way, the righteous requirements of the Old Covenant laws were met. Those in Christ are set free from guilt, shame, and condemnation.

If we live according to the Spirit, we set our minds on the things of the Spirit. Because Jesus kept all the Laws of the Old Covenant, the promised blessings of Deuteronomy 28 are ours, for God says "If you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God (Jesus did), being careful to do all His commandments (Jesus did), all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you (Deuteronomy 28:1–4)." In Jesus, we are:

• Exalted and elevated
• Blessed wherever we go and in our work
• Blessed with children, food, and everything we need
• Protected from enemies and victorious over them
• Blessed with abundance, land, and success
• Respected and viewed as holy and honorable
• Prosperous in all endeavors
• Lenders, never borrowers
• Leaders rising to positions of influence

If we sin and feel guilt or shame, we reveal our hearts and fall into the enemy's trap. The belief that we must keep the Law to warrant God's blessings proves we are living by the Old Covenant and not in the grace we receive through Christ's shed blood. Through His Spirit, Jesus keeps the Law for us. All our righteous acts are His doing, not ours.

Should we stumble and sin, we simply need to acknowledge that God's commands are good and holy (Romans 7:12), that Jesus has redeemed us from the law of sin and death, and submit to Him by saying, "Lord, I submit to you. Fill me with your Spirit."

If we keep our eyes on Jesus and what He has done for us, we will rest in His peace and allow His Spirit to transform our hearts and minds. In time we will find that we follow the Law — not by our effort — but by His will, strength, and righteousness. In fact, we will come to love God's Law and its goodness.

Are you living with shame and guilt? Fix your eyes on Jesus and find grace and rest, blessings and peace. Agree with Jesus regarding sin and in time you will find the lust of flesh no longer keeps you in bondage. Jesus came to set you free. Take His hand and walk out of your prison.
