Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center Named as Beneficiary of Book Proceeds

GREENVILLE, S.C. - July 1, 2024 - PRLog -- Entrepreneur, poet, and social justice advocate Melissa Whiteford St. Clair, Founder of White Girl Advocacy, LLC, is pleased to announce beginning July 1, 2024, a portion of the proceeds from book sales from three (3) books will benefit the Harriet Tubman Museum and Education Center (HTMEC), 424 Race Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613.

Maryland native Whiteford St. Clair collaborated with the HTMEC in April 2024 for two poetry events featuring her poems about Harriet Tubman and her social justice journey inspired by Harriet Tubman's heroic flight to freedom.

"Home Work A Collection of Poems Sparked by One White Woman's Journey on the Matter of Race" will bring readers into the heart of the author's expedition into the study of racism and social justice electrified by Harriet Tubman's heroic flight to freedom.

Sharing her journey on the matter of race with readers in "Heart Work A Heart-Centered Collection of Poems," Melissa Whiteford St. Clair uses poetry as a mechanism to process reflections and responses to her study of racism and social justice in American history and today's society.

"White Girl Homework" is for people who want to learn more about our Nation's collective history using creative ways to explore the cause and effects of racism and systemic racism.

Founder of White Girl Advocacy, Melissa Whiteford St. Clair, found herself in turmoil by the rise of social injustice in the U.S. Poetry became a processing mechanism on her journey for social justice.
