Media Touts Replacing Harris With An Obama For VP

WASHINGTON - July 4, 2024 - PRLog -- Rather than trying to have Joe Biden step down and substitute a weak alternative johnny-come-lately choice as a presidential candidate, some in the media are beginning to suggest keeping him on but substituting as a much stronger VP running mate an Obama - either Michelle or Barack - for the less popular and largely inexperienced Kamala Harris.

An alternative option, now being called Plan C, would be to have Barack Obama replace Harris as Biden's running mate for vice president:

As the Washington Examiner outlined it, "Biden might even consider announcing before the election that, if elected president, he would resign shortly after his inauguration so that Obama can then become president.  In addition to claiming that stepping down is the statesman-like thing to do, Biden could argue that resigning would be necessary to permit him to break his promise not to pardon his son, Hunter Biden.  Indeed, letting Obama take over would also limit the adverse political fallout of going back on his previous commitment."

Banzhaf also points out that any such announced promise by Biden to promptly resign would also reduce any adverse political impact which might occur if any additional evidence linking Joe to the financial schemes and questionable dealings of his son Hunter were to emerge from the ongoing investigations; e.g., as an "October Surprise."
