Service to School Welcomes New Chairman to its Board of Directors

WASHINGTON - July 24, 2024 - PRLog -- Service to School (S2S) proudly announces Bob Spieth was elected as its new Board of Directors Chairman effective June 2024. Bob succeeds Augustus (Gus) Giacoman, who served as chairman beginning in 2018.

"Bob brings a wealth of knowledge into the role. His background in building and scaling businesses and as a member of several non-profit Boards is invaluable to the organization as we grow our impact," said Alec Emmert, Service to School CEO. "I'm really excited to be learning from his wisdom."

In addition to his new role as S2S's board chairman, Bob currently serves as a board member at Flexe, a privately held logistics company.  He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Business Studies at Vanderbilt University and works with Advent International as an Operations Advisor

In 2020 Bob retired from his role as COO at Qurate Retail Group. Before that he served as COO at Zulily and in multiple executive roles at OHL (now Geodis) where he helped guide both companies through periods of explosive growth. Earlier in his career, Bob served with McKinsey & Company and as an Officer in the U.S. Army.  Based in Nashville, he has an AB in physics from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
