Rey Smart conquers Paris Olympics Marathon Course

Rey  Smart, a Brent based international runner and fitness influencer, has successfully completed the prestigious Marathon Pour Tous, held in the heart of Paris on the Olympic Course. This historic event represented the first time amateur runners would run a marathon during the Olympics.

Rey Smart's participation in the Marathon Pour Tous highlights his commitment to pushing personal boundaries and inspiring others to pursue their fitness goals. 2024 marks 10 years of his running love affair with Paris. Completing the marathon is not just a personal victory for Rey but also a source of inspiration for the community, showcasing the power of determination and hard work.

Rey Smart's journey to the Marathon Pour Tous was marked by months of rigorous training and preparation. The marathon started at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris at 9pm and finished at Les Invalides. The runners passed through 9 districts: Paris – Boulogne-Billancourt, Sèvres, Ville d'Avray, Versailles, Viroflay, Chaville, Meudon and Issy-les-Moulineaux. The challenging course which had 540m of elevation gain was conquered by Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia who set a new Olympic record in the men's marathon with a time of 2:06:2612. This impressive feat surpassed the previous Olympic record of 2:06:323.
