VENTURA, Calif. - Aug. 13, 2024 - PRLog -- The 12th annual Ventura Farm Day, Saturday, November 2, seeks sponsors. During Farm Day, more than 15 Ventura County farms and agricultural businesses open their doors and invite the public to learn how their food is grown.

"Since Farm Day began, over 50,000 people have attended Ventura County Farm Day," says Caitlin Paulus-Case, executive director of Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG), the 501(c)3 nonprofit that organizes Farm Day. "As a sponsor, it's an opportunity to help the public get a better understanding of what goes into growing the fruits and vegetables we eat and to appreciate the men and women who work hard to make it happen. Farm Day offers free tours, tastings and hands-on activities for all ages."

Ventura County Farm Day sponsors include Driscolls, Gene Haas Foundation, Wood Claeyssens Foundation, Church Brothers, Mission Produce, County of Ventura Agricultural Weights & Measures and AgWestFarm Credit.

SEEAG's mission is to educate students and the greater community about the farm origins of food and agriculture's contribution to our nutritional well-being. "With Ventura County Farm Day, we hope to cultivate a community of agricultural advocates who will help us support local farms and ranches," says Case.

About SEEAG

Founded in 2008, Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that aims to help young students understand the origins of their food by bridging the gap between agriculture and consumption through its agricultural education programming. SEEAG's "The Farm Lab" program teaches schoolchildren about the origins of their food and

the importance of local farmland by providing schools with classroom agricultural education and free field trips to farms. Through this and other SEEAG programs, over 100,000 elementary school students in Central and Southern California have increased their understanding of the food journey.
