An original on-canvas painting titled MAMBA ON was painted live by master portrait artist Alberto Villa in the presence of Kobe, celebrities and guests of the Los Angeles Lakers at their 2013 Youth Foundation Charity Event. Kobe loved the piece so much that he signed it in a way he had never done before or after – "Kobe 24 Mamba". After that evening, MAMBA ON was securely stored for a decade and has never been seen since.

Villa's painting became the visual image of Mamba mentality, but only because Kobe deemed it so with his words and actions.
