AMSTERDAM - Aug. 15, 2024 - PRLog -- Technology can be fun, and for everyone. This is the motto of TechTogether.ai, the first tech event in the Netherlands to bring together in the same space tech workers and their families, from kids to grandparents.

The first edition of TechTogether.ai will take place on October 2nd, in the city of Den Bosch. Among the speakers, there will be representatives from several global companies with local presence in the Netherlands such as Deloitte, Salesforce, TNO and KLM. New speakers are still being added to the line-up, which can be checked here (https://www.techtogether.ai/speakers).

While the adults take part in the tech sessions and network with their peers, the kids can enjoy activities showcasing the fun side of technology, including an artificial intelligence photobooth, game centres and an area for virtual reality painting.

Together with the talks, TechTogether.ai will, in each edition, bring awareness to the work of a non-governmental organisation (NGO). The one selected for this year is Jarige Job Foundation (https://www.linkedin.com/company/stichting-jarige-job/), a Dutch NGO that offers birthday boxes for kids whose families can't afford to celebrate their birthdays.

Technology beyond softwares

TechTogether.ai also pioneers in the way it brings to life the discussions around diversity, equity and inclusion. It comes from the dream of its founder, Wendy Moree (https://www.linkedin.com/in/wendymoree/), to create an event to bridge generations and introduce children and families to the tech industry. "It opens a unique space for kids and people outside the industry, allowing them to see what is involved in the production of their favourite technologies, and to understand the different types of professions involved in this process", says Moree.

Single mom of a 6 years old daughter, Wendy has a long time working to shape a more inclusive and equitable future within the tech industry. Former Salesforce, she created MoreeQuality BV in 2023, focusing on workshops, mentoring, advisory board services, and angel investing. Wendy was three times recognised as one of the most influential female tech leaders in the Netherlands, in '22', 23' and 24'. She is actively involved as a member of SER Topvrouwen and part of the advisory board of Women in AI Netherlands, Frankly Solutions and The D2 Collective.
