Subaru of Indiana Automotive announces supplier award winners

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Aug. 15, 2024 - PRLog -- Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) has recognized 24 suppliers for exceptional performance over the past year.

"We're thrilled to celebrate the highest achievers in our supply chain," said Scott Brand, president and chief operating officer at SIA. "Each has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that is evident in every aspect of their quality and delivery."

Winners received awards across five categories:

Special Recognition – Above and beyond effort as identified by SIA management
Commodity Leader – Top scoring supplier in commodity category
Excellent Performance – Achievement of SIA targets for safety, quality, cost and delivery
Superior Excellent Performance – Three and four consecutive years as recipient of the Excellent Performance Award
Presidential – Five consecutive years as recipient of the Excellent Performance Award

The recipients were honored during a ceremony on Aug. 7. Two companies received the top Presidential Award, while eight had the distinction of receiving an award in two categories.

"With nearly 260 suppliers supporting our operations, this is an elite group that has separated themselves from their peers," said Brand. "We value their shared vision and dedication to consistently perform at a high level."

SIA is Subaru's only manufacturing facility outside of Japan and currently makes the Ascent, Crosstrek, Legacy and Outback models for North America. Since beginning production in 1989, more than 7 million vehicles have been built. The following is the complete list of winners:
