ULI North Florida to Recognize Aundra Wallace as Visionary Leader at the ULI Awards for Excellence

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Aug. 20, 2024 - PRLog -- The Urban Land Institute (ULI) of North Florida proudly announces Aundra Wallace as the District Council's 2024 Visionary Leader. The award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution within the real estate industry and the community as a whole.

"Aundra is an exemplary leader and the true embodiment of professionalism, knowledge and passion," said Ed Burr, GreenPointe Holdings Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and the District Council's 2021 Visionary Leader. "He is a driving force behind attracting investment and supporting economic development and job creation throughout Northeast Florida. Aundra's commitment and contributions to our community are an inspiration to all. I cannot think of anyone more deserving to receive this award."

Wallace is the president of JAXUSA Partnership, the regional economic development arm of JAX Chamber. He directs a staff of 16 in the areas of business development, international, workforce development, research and marketing. JAXUSA's mission is to be a catalyst for economic growth and maximize the region's unique resources to aggressively recruit jobs and capital investment in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties.

Prior to joining JAXUSA, Wallace served as CEO of the City of Jacksonville's Downtown Investment Authority, where he has directed economic development efforts in the city's downtown, facilitating more than $150 million in public investment dollars that created more than $800 million in private capital investments during his tenure. A leader in managing community, housing and economic development initiatives throughout his career, Wallace has held similar leadership positions for agencies in Detroit, Miami and the state of North Carolina. Throughout his career, he has managed more than $650 million in equity, grants, loans and tax-exempt bonding capacity, in addition to creating and/or retaining 9,500 direct jobs.

The ULI North Florida District Council will present the 2024 Visionary Leader Award to Wallace at the ULI North Florida Awards for Excellence Gala.
