PALMETTO, Fla. - Aug. 21, 2024 - PRLog -- Pink and Main, a papercrafting store and production facility in Manatee County, Florida, continues its growth and reach to more than 16,000 customers worldwide from its 7,500 square foot location in Palmetto.

Recently, the niche brand that caters to craft lovers of stamping and cardmaking joined the Manatee Chamber of Commerce after its fourth year in the area following a move from Athens, Georgia, in 2020.

"We're excited to be part of the local chamber," said Michelle Currie, owner and creative director of Pink and Main. "After moving into the state and setting up operations, we've seen an uptick in shoppers visiting our store and a major growth in online sales.

"As a small business on the rise, we knew it was time to join our county chamber where we can tap into its many resources, tools and educational offerings to help us manage and expand our growth. As an owner, I can't wait to get to know and learn from fellow business leaders, making friends along the way at chamber events throughout the year."

Currie started Pink and Main in 2014 out of her parent's basement in Social Circle, Georgia, which she quickly outgrew. She then made the bold leap to opening a store in Athens, Georgia. Meeting with further success, she made another move to Florida and opened her shop in its current location at 2050 14th Avenue East in Palmetto.

A self-described "lover of all kinds of arts and crafts since my mom taught me to cross-stitch in the third grade," Currie turned her scrapbooking and stamping hobby into a career.

"I have done a variety of things in the papercrafting industry," Currie explained. "From creating custom scrapbook pages for customers all over the world, to designing digital cutting files … and now supplying cute, fun, whimsical, and on-trend papercraft goodies for cardmakers!"

The entrepreneur turns 50 in October and celebrates not only her professional achievements but most of all her personal triumphs in the face of a lifelong disease. "I was born with a type of Muscular Dystrophy and have used a wheelchair to get around since I was 12. I have never let this stop me from doing the things that I love, and I feel blessed that I can live a creative life."

In fact, Currie's tagline for Pink and Main is "Living the Creative Life." For more information about Currie and Pink and Main, visit pinkandmain.com or email her at info@pinkandmain.com.
