Alten Construction expands ownership team

RICHMOND, Calif. - Aug. 26, 2024 - PRLog -- Alten Construction (https://www.altenconstruction.com/), a full-service San Francisco Bay Area commercial construction general contractor, is pleased to announce the addition of three new partners to its ownership structure. Company founders and co-owners Bob and Shannon Alten welcome sons Bobby Alten and Billy Alten to company ownership, as well as longtime employee Erik Andresen.

Bobby joined Alten Construction in 2018 and is currently an estimator. He attended Sonoma State University where he studied economics. Billy has been with Alten Construction since 2020 and is currently a project engineer. A graduate of Colorado State University, he received his bachelor's degree in construction management, with a minor in Spanish.

Both sons have been involved with the company since they were young, taking great pride in the team-oriented culture, customer-focused approach and the opportunity to continue their family's legacy.

Andresen is a seasoned professional and has been a major contributor to Alten's success since joining the firm in 1998. Currently chief estimator, he has worked in multiple field and office management roles after attending Santa Rosa Junior College and California State University, Chico.

"Our boys grew up with this company, and Erik has been with us for almost the entirety of its existence, so it just made sense to us. The local, family-owned company started 29 years ago when Bob and Shannon began Alten Construction with humble beginnings. Today, the company has annual revenues of more than $140 million, and employs approximately 120 people — many who have been with the company for more than 15 years. The Altens take pride in seeing how the company has transformed its employees' lives, both professionally and personally. Since its founding, Alten Construction has completed approximately 250 projects for valued clients throughout the Bay area, from Sonoma to San Jose.
