Follow on Google News | Bradford Care Company Launches Innovative Physical Activity DivisionBy: Care2Care (Yorkshire) Ltd Chief Operating Officer, Phill Lautman, says the decision to establish a dedicated division specifically for physical activity programmes is in response to increasing demand. "Earlier this year we trialled individual physical activity programmes for some of our clients," he says. "The idea was to provide additional support based on the proven benefits of a range of physical activity in helping with a variety of issues from client wellbeing to specific physical challenges." Phill says the trial quickly proved popular and the company realised just how much demand there is for this kind of provision. The new department is headed by Physical Activity Manager, Rosie Walker, who says she's excited about how the move further broadens the support Care2Care offers. "Care2Care are already known locally for providing comprehensive and complex support," says Rosie. "Building this team and creating a dedicated department is a brilliant example of how a wide range of support makes such a huge difference to people's lives. I'm excited about what it means for those we support." Care2Care is the only at-home care company in the local area offering this kind of physical activity support. The bespoke programmes can be as high or as low intensity as required, are directed towards specific goals and targets agreed with the individual and are approved by health professionals. "When people think of physical activity, they often imagine tough workouts at the gym," says Phill. "For some people, though, learning to pick up and hold a cup again after injuries caused by a road accident can be a massive step forward. It's important we work very much with clients in their rehabilitation. The physical activity provision addresses situations like these, amongst others." Care2Care has been providing at-home care for adults of all ages in Bradford for the last 10 years. Reasons for support can range from developmental learning and mental health challenges; to conditions such as motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, and dementia; to living with mobility challenges or injuries from events such as road traffic accidents. "We see the whole spectrum of needs with the clients we support," says Phill. "There is certainly no such thing as a one-size-fits- Anyone wishing to find out more about Care2Care's new physical activity provision can call 01274 880321 and speak to Rosie Walker or Phill Lautman. https://www.care2care.uk/ Media Contact annabelc@firmament.agency End
